I couldn't stop myself exclaiming out loud when my students unpacked their sewing machines last night. Due to a series of circumstances, the machines hadn't made an appearance last week, but this week they were in full swing.
This is an original Husqvarna machine--35 years old; beautifully kept with all of its special cams in their special racks. I just had to give it a little pat and take its photo to share. Oh, it is a beautiful thing!

They don't make 'em like they used to! I was lucky enough to score an old Bernina last year - I just need to find a good someone to give it a service ...
An old Bernina is a treasure! I have a sewing machine mechanic who loves working with old machines--but he's in Footscray, and you're in Lismore. That's a problem:)
my mum had one just like that one, only it was white. I learned to sew on that baby. my youger sister then had it for years and I think she later sold it :(. mum wishes she still had it, so do i.
